Visit to the Military Rope Production Plant (Stabilimento Militare Produzioni Cordami) in Castellammare di Stabia. Originating from subsidiary manual activities of the local Royal Arsenal established in 1773 by King Ferdinand IV of Naples, this is the oldest rope factory in Italy. Since 2001, it has been managed by the Defense Industry Agency. In the new millennium, the plant specialized in producing naval cables and equipment, providing over 400 km of rope annually to the Italian Navy, including rigging for the famous training ships Amerigo Vespucci and Palinuro. It features a showroom at Stabia Main Port to promote "Made in Stabia" cordage for mega and giga yachts.
Following the visit: A walk through the alleys and ancient churches of the Stabian historic center, featuring artworks by Luca Giordano, a relic of San Gennaro, and local Street Art.
